Do you have what it takes to make social media marketing pay off for you?

When I sit down with a new client to discuss the advantages of a BlogSite vs. a Website, I explain that it is all about CONTENT. The more relevant content the better you rank on search, the more often you push new content into social media the more traffic and referrals, the more active you are in social media the more your BRAND is getting noticed. These are the keys to making it work.
Before I advise a client to take this step I ask 2 questions.

- DO YOU HAVE STAYING POWER?
Usually they have done their own investigation. They have read realistic articles on the fact that its hard but worth it in the long run. And some have fell prey to the scam artists that promise instant SEO results.
Social Marketing and Social Business does work. But you need to be dedicated or pay someone to be dedicated for you. That means a minimum of 5 blog posts a week. That means actively ENGAGING on Facebook and Twitter.

Blog technology has come a long way from its early days and essentially evoloved into a full CMS (content management system). Basically anything that was once done in a website can now be done in a blog but with a full administration dashboard to help you keep your content fresh.
